Blackbird Academy
Blackbird Academy has operated since January 2015 in our Yaletown location. We're proud to have developed an excellent reputation as a friendly, educational childcare space for little ones and their families in our community.
Children aged 18 months to 6 years are welcome at Blackbird. We’re pleased to provide a range of fantastic, fun, and educational activities suited to the diverse developmental stages and interests of learners in this age group.
There is a one-time registration fee of $50 per family. Once you have paid that registration fee, your family has a Blackbird membership for life! Even if you only need childcare on a very occasional basis, you will be free to book in as you please. You can use one hour of care one month, forty the next, take a few months off and then return - it’s up to you!

An Occasional Childcare facility is attended by a child for no more than 40 hours per month. At Blackbird Academy, members may attend anywhere from 0 to 40 hours each month, with as much variation as is convenient for the family.
Blackbird time is $17 per hour. We always have some discount packages available that reduce that hourly price (members may purchase thesee packages on our booking calendar page).
There is no monthly membership fee, and no minimum monthly commitment of hours!
