Fair Haven Children’s Centre is located in Fair Haven Seniors’ Home. This gives our program the unique ability to have ongoing interactions with the seniors. This multigenerational approach allows the children and seniors the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, songs and games. These social interactions enrich and broaden a sense of community in the children while having fun. (Please note: In-person interactions with the Seniors’ Home have ceased during the COVID-19 pandemic.)
Fair Haven is a licensed group child care facility. The child-to-staff ratio for infants and toddlers is 1 staff to every 4 children, and the ratio for children aged 3 to 5 is 1 staff for every 8 children.
The staff are trained and certified in Early Childhood Education with many staff specialized in Infant and Toddler Training and Special Needs Training. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR, and have completed a Criminal Record Search.
