Our mission at Kits Area Child Care Centre is to offer a safe, supportive, challenging and empowering environment for children 30 months to 5 years old. Our rich, play-based curriculum celebrates learning and promotes confidence and personal achievement. This will enable our children to become active, responsible, independent students preparing to contribute toward a just and caring society.

Our unique, nature-rich location in Kitsilano with large play spaces both in and out, engaging learning materials, and experienced staff make every child’s day special. Staff members implement learning opportunities throughout the day in which children are encouraged to take part. In addition, whenever possible, budget constraints not withstanding, supplementary programs with qualified teachers may be offered (i.e. French, music, lessons in small groups, etc). Each child’s temperament, learning style and cultural background is taken into consideration when program planning.
