The Langara Child Development Centre is a full-time inclusive day-care centre that serves 62 children ages 18 months to five years in three separate programs—one toddler and two 3-5 years programs. We are an inclusive centre with some spaces designated for children with special needs. Priority in placement is given to students and employees of Langara College.
The Langara Child Development Centre has been a part of Langara College since 1970. It originally accommodated 25 children three to five years of age. The current facility was built by the college in 1999. The program was expanded in response to the growing need for day care spaces in the college community.
Government subsidy based on financial need is available through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Langara's Child Development Centre is a prototype site for the $10 a day program ($200 per month).
