Noah's Ark School

Noah's Ark is a non-denominational school, specializing in meeting the unique social, emotional and academic foundational needs of children from 2 1/2 to 10 years of age. We embrace the best of what is understood in Montessori, Reggio Emillia and Traditional educational philosophy and practices, to create an authentically child-centered learning environment while exceeding BC core curriculum outcome guidelines.

Noah’s Ark Montessori Reggio School is an exciting place to be for a preschooler who is ready to take on the new challenges of a bigger world. With an environment that encompasses Montessori Philosophy, the Reggio Emilia emergent curriculum approach and traditional play-based learning, the children have expanded opportunities to meet their ever-changing and growing intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs. The classrooms are filled with rich and varied resources that offer many opportunities for new connections and evolving discoveries to be made, adding to a growing foundation of prior understandings. Our morning and afternoon classes each have approximately 16 children and 2 fully qualified teachers. Our day includes individual time, group work opportunities and, always, lots of fun gross motor activities. Every day, the smiling faces of our preschoolers let us know we are doing something right at Noah’s Ark.

Noah’s Ark School operates from Monday to Friday, September to June. All statutory holidays are observed and holidays generally follow the School District closures. We close for 2 days for parent/teacher interviews in November and April as well as for 6 professional days spread throughout the year.
