Rompers Preschool

Rompers Preschool is a licensed preschool that operates in accordance with the Child Care Licensing Regulations under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act of BC.  The program serves children between 3 and 5 years of age and enrols up to a maximum of 20 children per classroom, with a minimum two early childhood educators in each class.  

The program is play-based, child-centred and emergent influenced.   The Early Childhood Educators are responsive to children’s interests and co-create curriculum with the children. Topics of interests are explored in groups to foster an inviting, engaging, and collaborative social setting, and to create meaningful developmentally appropriate learning experiences.  The depth and length of learning are determined by the children’s sustained interests. Focus is placed on the process of experiences and on fostering healthy social-emotional development. Components of this program include free play time, open ended art, group time, music and movement, sensory activities, STEM, nutritional break, and a large emphasis on outdoor learning.
