Your child will be provided with a broad variety of experiences that will inspire curiosity, exploration and cooperation along with their Early Childhood Educators who are trained to facilitate and co-construct learning with your child. These important pre-school years (3-5 years) provide the basis for learning for life – a foundation that builds our citizens of the future. School Age care is provided to those attending University Highlands Elementary (English catchment school) and École Sperling Elementary (French immersion catchment school). For University Highlands students, care is provided before and after school. For Sperling students, care is provided after school.
Full-day childcare is also provided to the students of both schools on school holidays, including the winter break, spring break, and summer break. Learning and practicing life skills such as high self-esteem and positive social skills are the focus for this age group through play. Learning to become positive contributing citizens through creativity and fun is also enphasized. Children participate in setting rules and planning the program activities. A special effort is made to facilitate transition between home, school and the childcare centre.
