Step by Step Child Development Society

Step By Step Child Development Society offers opportunities for parents and caregivers and their young children aged birth to 6 years to meet and build relationships with other families in their neighborhoods while accessing information and resources through our Family Resource Program. This program runs from September until June.

We would like to invite parents to come and join us. We are a community where we share our thoughts, listen to one another, actively participate together, read together, sing together, and have fun together! This is a Community Experience.

Our Family Resource Program is FREE, and is offered at two locations as follows:

First Location

Harbourview Elementary School

Address: 960 Lillian Street Coquitlam, BC

Days offered: Mondays and Wednesdays

Hours: 9:00 am to 11:30 am

Second location

Old Orchard Hall

Address: 646 Bentley Road Port Moody, BC

Days offered: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Hours: 9:00 am to 11:30 am

Step By Step Child Development Society offers an enriched, high quality 5.5 hour program.  All of our programs are child focused.  We believe that learning should be fun and include all aspects of development.  We keep in touch with the trends and needs within our community and with the latest research in childcare.  Our goal is to support families in preparing their children for the up and coming years and to build each child’s skills for the future. Staff are experienced Early Childhood Educators with some special needs and under three certification.  Staff are always upgrading and taking professional development.

Our 5.5 hour  spaces are available from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and are available two, three, four or five days per week, and includes lunch and morning snacks.  This program runs on the school calendar and is not available during Pro-D days, Spring Break, Christmas Break or Summer Break.

Full day childcare spaces are available from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and are available two, three, four or five days per week all year round, and includes breakfast, lunch and two snacks.   Part-time hours are also available starting at 9 am (5.5 hours), running on the school calendar, not available during Pro-D days, Spring Break, Christmas Break or Summer.   The 5.5 hour program includes lunch and morning snack.
