Sweet Peas Cottage (Lower Lonsdale)
Sweet Peas Cottage is a North Vancouver based Preschool/Daycare dedicated to creating an environment, both indoors and outdoors that encourages, supports and strives to foster the development of the whole child. Through our play-based program, the children are given the opportunity to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual selves in a safe and caring child-centered environment.
Licensing & Ratio:
-All of our Infant Toddler (under 3’s) programs are licensed through Vancouver Coastal Health.
-The Infant / Toddler Programs are licensed for 12 children with a 1:4 ratio
What happens within our Programs:
-A fun and safe learning and growing Child Care Environment
-Group Time: Story time, exploration of musical instruments, games, dramatic play experiences, and science experiments
-Sensory Play such as Water, play dough, sand, feathers, goop and natural elements
-Fine Motor & Gross Motor activities both inside and outdoors
-Language Arts: story telling, exposure to written word, songs, finger play stories, library field trips
-Creative Arts & Dramatic play
-Outdoor Games and Activities
-Community Activities / Family Community events
-Members of the Charros Community Garden.
-Field trips / daily walks and outings
-Special Visitors and In-House guests
Licensing & Ratio:
-All of our 3-5 programs (36 months to school age) are licensed through Vancouver Coastal Health.
-The 3-5 Programs are licensed with a 1:8 Ratio
-Creekside 3-5 Program (23 children in the 3-5 class)
-The Cottage (16 Children in the 3-5 class)
